Born 1967, Tauranga, New Zealand
Gained University Entrance in 1983, and left school in 1984. In 1986 I joined a part-time course at Hungry Creek Craft Workshops, where I learned basic jewellery making skills. Walker & Hall sponsored me for a further year to work full time at Hungry Creek learning jewellery techniques.
1988 Six months working for a manufacturing jewellers to learn production
techniques
1989 Attended Hungry Creek as a Northland Polytech student. Gained a certificate
in Craft/Design
1991 Gained Diploma of Applied Arts.
1992 Employed as a jewellery tutor at Hungry Creek.
1993 Learned to make flameworked glass beads with Peter Viesnik.
I have been a self-employed craftsperson since 1994, working in silver and glass. I have participated in a number of national exhibitions of jewellery.
